摘要

Polymer-supported catalysts haveemerged as one of thesustainableand cost-effective alternatives in organic synthetic chemistry. Wehave developed the first polymer-supported DMAP catalyzed one-potsynthesis of diversely substituted & alpha;-pyrones. The cascade approachinvolves C5 conjugate addition of 5H-oxazol-4-onesto & alpha;,& beta;-unsaturated-& beta;-ketoesters followed by lactonization/elimination.
