A novel electrochemical aptasensor based on core–shell nanomaterial labeling for simultaneous detection of acetamiprid and malathion

•Two kinds of core–shell nanoparticles Ag@Au NPs and Cu2O@Au NPs were synthesized.•Core-shell nanomaterials were electrochemically active and could bind aptamers.•Two novel probes were prepared by labeling aptamer with core–shell nanomaterials.•Electrochemical aptasensor could simultaneously detect acetamiprid and malathion.
