Hydrophilic Polymer Embolization after Intravascular Lithotripsy.

An 88-year-old man with peripheral arterial disease presented with an ischemic ulcer of the right great toe. A noninvasive workup revealed evidence of hemodynamically significant lower extremity tibial disease. Angiography revealed 0-vessel inline flow to the foot with occlusion of the proximal anterior tibial artery. Attempts to cross the lesion in an antegrade fashion were unsuccessful.
