Implementing VIETGAP Standard Based Shrimp Management System usingWaterfall Model

VietGAP stands for Vietnamese Good Agricultural Practices - issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. VietGAP Standard can be applied to livestock, aquaculture, or crop to create clean and better products. In aquaculture, shrimp is one of the primary exporting products, about 45% of all turnover in aquaculture of Vietnam. Currently, shrimp farming households are changing to using intensive shrimp farming, super-intensive shrimp farming, and high-tech shrimp farming based on VietGAP Standards. Our Shrimp Raising Management model follows national technical regulations on brackish water shrimp farming establishments in the form of cooperatives. In which, management of facilities and exporting facility reports are all based on VietGAP Standard. This research applies information technology to the creation of a management system based on the VietGAP Standard using the Waterfall software model for theoretical research and a primary survey. The waterfall model is considered the most effective model for each phase of developing software, therefore it helps developers to plan and manages the project more during project development easier.
