Properties of Pseudoscalar Mesons in a Contact Interaction Model

We study the properties of pseudoscalar mesons, pion, kaon, η and η ' , and compute the γ ^* γ→π ^0, η , η ' transition form factor in the framework of the Schwinger–Dyson equations and Bethe–Salpeter equations, using a momentum independent contact interaction. The contact interaction is capable to describe the observable properties, but produces a transition form factor whose evolution for large Q^2 disagrees with experiment and perturbative QCD.
