摘要
Bassia longifolia KOENIG (= Madhuca longifolia KOENIG, Sapotaceae) is one of more than 1600 different plant species that are used for traditional phytomedicine in Nepal [1]. It is an evergreen tree which grows about 20 m in height. Flowers and bark are used for both, food and medicine [2]. The bark is used for cough, colds and bronchitis. The bark paste can be applied externally on cuts and wounds to stop bleeding [3].
