2D MoS2 Nanosheets MoS2 nanosheets accumulate Fe2+ in lysosomes by promoting NCOA4-dependent ferritinophagy. Fe2+ leaks from the damaged lysosomes into the cytoplasm, resulting in ferroptosis. This has important implications for elucidating the toxicity of 2D nanoparticles and determining their medical applications.
