Familial Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Multiple Sclerosis in an Egyptian Family. A Family Report

•ALS is the most common fatal adult onset neuromuscular disease, while MS is the most common demylinating CNS disorder.•They are two very distinct neurological diseases as regards; etiology,clinical presentation, management and prognosis.•Familial ALS denotes genetic etiology of the disease.•ALS and MS coexistence in the same family is very unusual.•Reporting a family with fALS and MS which raise questions aboutthe genetic and environmental link between both diseases.
