摘要
Dual- (L5 (1.164-1.188 GHz) and L1 (1.565-1.585 GHz)) and single- (L5) band Circularly Polarized (CP) Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antennas (RDRAs) for ground terminal of navigation satellite applications are investigated using Method of Moments (MoM) which is numerically analyze the impact of circular shape finite ground plane specially for circular polarization purpose. Structures of dual- and single-band CP RDRAs have two input ports. Phase difference between feed-l and feed-2 is 90° which produces Right Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP). The impact of different radii of circular shape ground plane on dual- and single-band CP RDRAs are analyzed using numerical method MoM (MATLAB programming) and ANSYS HFSS 14.0. In this article, theory approach of dual- and single-band CP RDRAs are introduced using MoM. For different radii of circular shape finite ground plane, Return Loss (RL), isolation, RHCP gain, Radiation Patterns (RP) and Axial Ratio (AR) are observed using MoM based MATLAB programming and ANSYS HFSS 14.0. MoM and ANSYS HFSS results of dualand single-band RDRAs are compared for verification purpose.
