An Analytical Approach for Resonant Frequency Prediction of Complex Single-Channel Irregular Coupling Slot

This letter proposes an analytical approach to predict the resonant frequencies of complex single-channel irregular slots (CSCISs) in 3-D case. The model is simplified by the generalized modal method of moments (GMMOMs), and the admittance of CSCIS is analyzed separately in conjunction with the theory of coplanar transmission line. Then, the equivalent parameters of CSCIS are extracted based on the field distribution characteristics, and an analytical solution for the resonant frequencies is derived, which can effectively reduce the consumption in terms of computational time and resources. With the findings discovered, the proposed approach can predict the resonant frequencies with high accuracy and applicability.
