摘要

•A series of benzimidazolium salts and their corresponding Silver(I)-N-Heterocyclic carbene complexes were synthesized and characterized.•Structures of all compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and IR spectroscopy, as well as elemental analysis techniques.•Silver(I) NHC complexes were used to investigate the antiproliferation activity against four different cancer cell lines.
