摘要
Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles synthesized using plant biomasses have attracted scientists due to their high biocompatibility, low toxicity, and ease of production. Green synthesis is preferred as a synthesis method due to its low cost and environmentally friendly properties. In this present study, ZnO nanoparticles were produced via green synthesis; using different parts of Lupinus albus L. and Lupinus pilosus L. plants as reducing and capping agents. The green synthesized ZnO nanoparticles were characterized using UV-Vis, XRD, FTIR, and SEM mea-surements. FTIR results clearly showed the presence of phytochemicals such as organic acids, alkaloid, alkanes, and phenolic compounds used as reducig agents in ZnO NPs synthesis. The antibacterial and photocatalytic properties of these samples were investigated in detail. In photocatalytic experiments, it was observed that degradation efficiency of green synthesized ZnO NPs against methylene blue dye were between %47.554 and % 61.359. In antibacterial experiments, it was observed that the sample formed a zone diameter against Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria. It is suggested that the green synthesized ZnO nanoparticles obtained from Lupinus albus and Lupinus pilosus can be used in antibacterial and photocatalysis applications.
