Synthesis of Nafion-reduced graphene oxide/polyaniline as novel positive electrode additives for high performance lead-acid batteries

•Nafion rGO/PANI (HNGP) as novel positive electrode additives were prepared.•The synergistic effect of rGO and PANI was the main reason for its superior performance.•Experiments on lead-acid batteries prepared with GO, PANI and HNGP electrodes.
