A Comparison of Skin Graft Techniques with and without Plaster Back Slab Dressing in Reducing Donor Site Morbidity in Radial Forearm Free Flap Surgery - A Retrospective Study.

There was no evidence in the literature to support an ideal bandage for skin graft at the RFFF donor site. Our comparison of two techniques of skin graft dressings with and without back slap did not show any difference in the skin graft take, and the volar back slab did not add any additional benefits. The simple use of foam as a bolster dressing without a back slab is ideal for the radial forearm free flap donor site.
