摘要
This paper presents a procedure to build control-oriented reduced-order models for floating offshore wind turbines. Representative models that describe the dynamics of the main structural components are crucial for designing controllers that optimize power efficiency and simultaneously alleviate structural fatigue. Models contemplating a number of degree-of-freedom are derived, linearized, and analyzed. Aerodynamic and hydrodynamic models, useful to perform closed-loop simulations under environmental disturbances, are introduced. The scope of future work is also presented, including model validation, control design, and platform stabilization via passive up-righting and damping mechanisms and active stabilizing systems.
