Hierarchal Charging Vehicles Scheduling Algorithm in Wireless Rechargeable Sensor Networks

Energy transmission using radio frequency (RF) technology became prominent. Utilizing RF technology, wireless charging vehicles (WCVs) can be employed to recharge the sensors, leading to the development of wireless rechargeable sensor networks. This study divides the WCVs into Recharging WCVs (R-WCVs) and Server WCVs (S-WCVs). The R-WCVs are responsible for recharging the sensors, while the S-WCVs are responsible for recharging the R-WCVs. This paper proposed a hierarchal charging vehicle scheduling (HCVS) algorithm for R-WCVs and S-WCVs, aiming to improve the energy usage efficiency of R-WCVs in each recharging cycle. In addition, this study investigated the relationship between two consecutive recharging cycles of R-WCVs. Experimental studies reveal that the HCVS algorithm yields the best result compared to the literature.
