Abstract
SummaryWe are developing two systems for single-ion spectroscopy of the 2 S 1/22 D 5/2 transition in Yb + . We develop three-dimensional cooling technique and evaluate it from singleion spectra of the transition. We establish isotope-selective singleion loading towards measurement of the isotope shifts of the transition.
