摘要
In this work, we demonstrate and explore the optical properties of one-dimensional ternary photonic crystal design containing graphene layers. By using the well-known transfer matrix method, the optical properties of the proposed designs are investigated at the terahertz (THz) region. The numerical results show the appearance of cutoff frequency feature within THz range. We found that the cutoff frequency feature is tunable through the considered spectrum by controlling the design parameters such as the thicknesses of the constituent materials and the incident angle of the incident light. Also, the results show that the chemical potential and the temperature of the graphene optical conductivity have a significant effect on the cutoff frequency. Finally, by using non-linear regression analysis, we fit our results to a quadratic regression model. Accordingly, a cutoff frequency of interest can be selected in a straight-forward way through the THz region. The proposed design can be useful in many applications at the THz region such as band-pass filters, high reflection mirrors, fibers, and microcavities.
