Evidence-based approaches to managing adverse effects of psychotropics in children

This Clinical Perspectives was developedin response to AACAP member requests and sponsoredby the Psychopharmacology and Neurotherapeutics Committee. Presenters will describe some of the most common and serious adverse effects (AEs) of psychotropics used in children. Using current evidence, presenters will outline management strategies for these adverse effects among pediatric patients treated for mood, anxiety, psychotic, and behavioral disturbances.
