摘要

•Bioleaching of Zn and Cd from ZnS flotation concentrate was studied.•L-cysteine enhances Zn and Cd dissolution rates.•Optimal conditions resulted in 92.54% Zn and 88.66% Cd recovery.•Sulfur and jarosite were found in bioleaching residues.•TCLP and SPLP methods proved residue safety.
