Long-term Prostate Cancer–specific Mortality After Prostatectomy, Brachytherapy, External Beam Radiation Therapy, Hormonal Therapy, or Monitoring for Localized Prostate Cancer

After rigorous adjustment, radical prostatectomy was associated with a lower risk of prostate cancer–specific and overall mortality, especially in patients with higher-risk disease, in comparison to other treatments according to data from a large, prospective, multicenter, community-based cohort of men with localized prostate cancer.
