•The composite hydrogel of CMSN has good mechanical stability.•Mesoporous silica nanoparticles with rich pore structure can be loaded with catechin.•The hydrogel dressing adheres firmly to tissues through topological adhesion of CS.•Hydrogels have good activity of promoting angiogenesis and promoting wound repair.•The synergistic effect of hydrogel and red-light therapy promotes wound healing.
