200 Gbit/s Wireless THz Transmission over 52m using Optoelectronic Signal Generation

摘要
We demonstrate THz transmission at a record data rate of 200 Gbit/s over an 52-m-long indoor link at a carrier frequency of 300 GHz enabled by optoelectronic signal generation and all-electronic intradyne reception with a GaAs mm-Wave integrated circuit and blind feed-forward digital signal processing (DSP). We further study the performance of a potentially low-complexity single-ended heterodyne receiver where an optoelectronically generated local oscillator is mixed with the received signal in a Schottky barrier diode. We further discuss suitable DSP algorithms and conclude that phase noise can be compensated to a large extend with a digital phase recovery.
