摘要
Aiming to transfer power wirelessly for indoor applications, a 4x4 phased array transmitter was developed at 5.8 GHz, whose radiating elements were rectangular patch antennas. Dielectric lenses were implemented using quasioptics, to focus the energy and reduce the spillover losses. Without knowing the exact gaussian beam created by phased arrays, a lens from another project was used to extract the beam parameters, after which, an optimized lens was designed and manufactured. This paper presents the experimental results of two system configurations, one with the optimized lens and a system using both dielectric lenses, up to a maximum transfer distance of 2 m. Finally, an RF-DC converter was used, enabling DC-DC wireless power transfer.
