摘要

•Fabrication of Pt/Pd bimetallic-decorated on Ru-implanted WS2 nanosheets (NSs) acetone sensor.•Operation of gas sensors in self-heating mode under different voltages of 1–5 V.•The Ru-implanted WS2 sensor decorated with Pt/Pd bimetallic NPs showed the enhanced performance to acetone at 4.5 V.•Improved acetone sensing performance was explained in detail.
