摘要
•A novel multifunctional heterostructure additive (BN-GdPP) has been prepared.•BN-GdPP simultaneously improve the mechanical properties, flame retardancy and neutron shielding properties of silicone rubber.•The BN-GdPP is evenly dispersed and horizontally oriented in SR matrix.•The PHRR, THR, and TSP of BN-GdPP/SR decreased by 40.82%, 39.76%, and 32.60%, respectively.
