LB1747 Characterization of Bleomycin Induced Skin and Lung Fibrosis Mouse Model
JOURNAL OF INVESTIGATIVE DERMATOLOGY(2023)
Abstract
Scleroderma is a multisystem autoimmune disease involving inflammation, immunity, vasculopathy, and fibrosis of skin and internal organs. Bleomycin induced fibrosis is the most widely used animal model to study anti-fibrotic effects of potential treatments for scleroderma. However, there is no consistent positive control response on bleomycin fibrosis model, especially for skin fibrotic effect. We have characterized a bleomycin induced skin and lung fibrosis mouse model to evaluate antifibrotic effects of molecules targeting different mechanisms.
