Excited gold clusters. In article ntls.20220023, a detailed understanding of the changes in electronic structure and chemical reactivity of gold-ligand complexes upon photoexcitation is achieved by measuring their vibrationally-resolved optical spectra. The artists' aquarelle interpretation of the process underlines the diffuseness of the pertaining electron density.
