摘要
This paper limelight’s the importance of reckoning the practical constraint of time delays (TDs) on the interconnected power system (IPS) performance. The analysis is performed on the diverse source two-area (TADS) IPS for a disturbance in step load (SLD) of 10% on area 1. Fruit fly optimization (FFO) tuned 3-degree-of-freedom tilt-integral-derivative (3DOFTID) is designed as a secondary regulator whose efficacy is showcased with that of other regulators. The significance of TDs on the system performance is revealed by performing the dynamical analysis on TADS with and without deliberating the TDs. Simulation results reveal the significance of TDs on the IPS performance and this work recommends considering the constraint of TDs for load frequency control (LFC) study.
