摘要
This paper presents a non-resonant, compact, and high-gain circularly polarized (CP) partially reflective surface (PRS) antenna. The antenna comprises a PRS that utilizes linear-to-circular polarization conversion, a wideband feed antenna, and a PEC ground. The PRS and PEC ground form a non-resonant cavity that produces out-of-phase leaky waves and cannot provide the expected high gain performance. To overcome this limitation, the PRS itself provides phase compensation that ensures the out-of-phase leaky waves become in phase for high gain performance. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed antenna achieves a peak gain of 20.23 dBic, a 3-dB gain bandwidth of 14.8%, a 3-dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of 26.25%, and an aperture efficiency of 34.11%.
