Lithium (Li) is one of the key minerals needed for low-carbon future industries such as electric vehicles. Recently, several remote sensing approaches (multispectral and hyperspectral) for lithium pegmatite are increasing. However, few studies have directly investigated Li pegmatite outcrops using ground-based hyperspectral data. In this study, we investigated the spectral properties of Li pegmatite samples from the Boam mine in Uljin and directly map Li-bearing minerals from the Boam mine outcrops to verify the potential of ground-based hyperspectral data for mineral exploration.
