Influence Analysis and Control of PMSG Wind Farm on Subsynchronous Oscillation of Synchronous Generator

摘要
Aiming at the problem of subsynchronous oscillation (SSO) of synchronous generator (SG) induced by the grid connection of wind farms, this paper incorporates time-domain simulation and measurement discrimination method, analyzing the influence of PMSG wind farms damping characteristics of different SSO modes on SG. Using the signal discrimination method, the free response characteristics of SG rotor speed disturbance are observed, the interaction between PMSG wind farm and SG is identified, revealing the effect on the SSO of SG from PMSG wind farm operational conditions and control parameters. By adding a subsynchronous damping controller (SSDC) to the PMSG wind turbine, the SSO of SG is restrained. At last, verifying the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis and control strategy, which is based on PSCAD time-domain simulation.
