摘要
The Ku band is one of the most commonly used bands in satellite mobile communication systems. This paper introduces an omnidirectional high-gain printed antenna designed specifically for the Ku band. It is an antenna array composed of a continuous transverse stub (CTS) structure and a dipole formed by a pair of triangular patches. The antenna uses a printed structure for miniaturization and low profile, and is fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) and a coaxial line. Simulation results show that the antenna's bandwidth, defined as $\vert S_{11}\vert < -10$ dB, spans from 12.3 GHz to 15.5 GHz, with a relative bandwidth of 23%. The maximum gain of the antenna is 7.3 dBi at 13 GHz, and the roundness is less than 3.3 dB. The designed antenna effectively covers the most commonly used 12–14 GHz band within the Ku band, offering characteristics such as high gain, omnidirectional radiation, and miniaturization, which make it suitable to be applied to mobile communication systems.
