Design of a Reflective Metasurface with Broadband Low Detectability on 3-D Targets

A Reflective Metasurface with Broadband Low Detectability (RM-BLD) is designed in this paper, which is characterized by stable performance in broadband, wide incident angles and 3-D targets. The theory of Generalized Snell Law is introduced in the arrangements of unit cells, which makes contributes to broaden the band and incident angles. Results in different frequencies and incident angles are experimented. The average value of RCS is around -20 dBm 2 , which is greatly reduced. The dihedral corner acting as one of the most typical 3-D targets is introduced as well, which verifies the low detectability of RM-BLD applied in 3-D targets. The design of the RM-BLD provides an innovative metasurface for 3-D targets in the demand of low detectability. For future works, more discussions of the proposed metasurface will be applied to further complex targets.
