A Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons Bandpass Filter Based on Coplanar Waveguide

This paper presents a spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) bandpass filter based on a coplanar waveguide. The SSPPs transmission lines based on the coplanar waveguide are constructed and their characteristics are analyzed by simulations. It is found that the SSPPs transmission lines have a high cutoff frequency and the bandpass filter can be realized by constructing a zero-transmission characteristic on the transmission lines. Simulation results show that the filter has a low in-band insertion loss of less than 1.2 dB and a high out-of-band suppression of more than 80 dB, verifying its excellent frequency-selection function.
