Architecture design of a novel four-axis micro flywheel with pyramid configuration

摘要
In this paper, a novel mechatronics flywheel configuration for micro-satellites is proposed. The four micro-flywheels are mounted on the base of the assembly through the support, forming a pyramid configuration. The angle between the normal of the angular momentum of the micro flywheel and the normal of the mounting surface can be set arbitrarilyaccording to the needs. The four micro flywheels are covered by a sealing cover and the four COTS driving circuits are integrated on a circuit board and placed in an unsealed chamber on the other side of the vacuum sealed chamber. The proposed configuration solves the problem of two-end stable support of the four-axis flywheel through configuration design, and can realize inner or outer ring rotation.
