摘要
For applications requiring AC-AC power conversion, matrix converter (MC) is a strong competitor to the typical back-to-back converter, since it is much more efficient and compact. Yet, like most of AC-AC converters, the MC suffers from high-frequency leakage current generated by the output common-mode voltage (CMV). In this study, a modulation scheme using only the rotational vectors is presented to fully suppress the leakage current. The principle of this scheme is discussed. Method implementation is simplified by calculating the duty cycles in the dq reference frame. Key merit of the scheme is that zero CMV is achieved at the output. Meanwhile, high- quality source and output currents could be still obtained. Simulation results have verified the validity of this scheme. Potential application of this scheme is motor drive system.
