Optimal Scheduling of Regional Integrated Energy System Based on Carbon Trading and Comfort Demand Response

Abstract
The transition towards carbon neutrality requires a significant increase in renewable energy consumption and the attainment of ambitious emission reduction targets. Achieving the goal necessitates overcoming the barriers that exist between different energy sources and implementing joint optimal dispatch strategies across multiple energy systems. To this end, we propose a combined demand response and carbon trading cost for thermoelectric power that considers customer comfort within the context of a regional integrated energy system (RIES) with deep integration of electricity and gas. Our proposed RIES collaborative economic dispatch model aims to minimize the system's operational cost while fully leveraging the potential of demand response to enhance renewable energy consumption while ensuring user comfort. Through a comprehensive case study, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed model.
