Electrical Connector Damage State Identification Based on Intermittent Fault Signal Analysis

Aimed at the damage state identification of aeronautical electrical connectors, the intermittent fault signal characteristics are extracted, and a method for identifying damage states of aeronautical electrical connectors based on wavelet time-frequency entropy energy sequence is proposed. First, the intermittent fault process of electrical connectors under vibration stress is analysed. The dynamics and main parameters of the intermittent fault signal are described, and the duration and amplitude of the intermittent fault represent the characteristics of the intermittent fault in two different dimensions. A method was proposed for the identification of damage states of electrical connectors, where the wavelet time-frequency entropy is used for feature extraction and the damage states are divided into five levels according to the energy sequence values. Finally, two experimental data are used for validation. The results show that the identification method is efficient and feasible.
