A Miniaturized 220 GHz Circular Waveguide $\text{TE}_{01}- \text{Rectangular}$ Waveguide $\text{TE}_{10}$ Mode Converter

Mode converters are widely used in the field of electronic vacuum. Many scholars have carried out a lot of work on the theory and applications of mode converters. We designed a 220 GHz radial waveguide power combiner. In this study, a 220 GHz Circular waveguide TE 01 - Rectangular waveguide TE 10 mode converter is necessary. The miniaturized mode converter works at 220GHz and has a conversion efficiency of 99%, with bandwidth up to 20GHz. The total length of the mode converter is only 15.5mm, and the transverse diameter is 2.388mm. The miniaturized mode converter has good clutter-mode suppression ability and compact structure, which can meet the requirements of use.
