Research On High Frequency Structure of A Novel Dual-beam 0.14THz EIO

In this article, A novel dual-beam extended interaction oscillator(EIO) with frequency of 0.14THz is designed. Compared with the traditional single-cavity EIO, this design connects the two single-cavity structures with an H-T waveguide in the middle of the grating and couples the output. Through numerical calculation and computer simulation, $\text{TM}_{31}$ mode, field distribution, the dispersion curve and $\mathrm{s}_{11}$ parameter of a high frequency structure of 0.14THz EIO are studied. Through particle simulation, the influence of operating voltage, output structure on the output power was studied, and the optimal parameters are obtained. The simulation results show that the high frequency structural material is oxygen-free copper, the conductivity is $3^{*}10^{\wedge}7\mathrm{S}/\mathrm{m}$ the voltage is 12.6 kV, the current is 1.15A, and the longitudinal magnetic field is 0.5T, it interacts with TM31 mode, and the output wave frequency is 0.14THz and the output power is 613.58W. Compared with single-beam under the same conductivity, voltage, current and the longitudinal magnetic field, the output power of the dual-beam is more than twice that of the single-beam. The novel dual-beam design could improve output power greatly.
