Live Demonstration: Prevention and prediction of biomechanical risks in work environment

Work-related musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) is one of the main issues faced by workers during their occupational life. People employed in industries, which require repetitive and manual lifting of loads, are the main subjects affected by this injury. Current solutions adopted to mitigate this risk have a qualitative approach and are not accurate enough. The proposed live demonstration shows an application of a real-time whole body articular stress analysis, estimated by means of wearable sensors and A.I. algorithms. In addition to the human state estimation, this work gives a new evaluation tool for the quantitative analysis of the MSD risk. Finally, A.I. algorithms for the online action recognition and the human risk prediction are shown within this live demonstration.
