Magnetic materials

This article covers the basic concepts necessary to fully comprehend magnetic materials, including the equations that describe them or their most relevant characteristics to consider when using them in power electronics. Emphasis is placed on ferromagnetic materials since they are the most commonly used in electrical and power electronics applications for the design and fabrication of inductive components. A discussion of materials by application, according to their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages will be shown.
