Islamic Banking system is devised to ensure human welfare as well as to translate the noble principles of Islamic Economics into reality. For this specific reason, public welfare is posited in the frontline of each and every activities of Islamic Banking. Premising on the wings of investigation and analysis this article intends to portray the different welfare activities of Islamic Banking system with a specific focus on ‘Cash Waqf’. With a view to accomplishing this research the author has reviewd relevant primary and secondary research works. Moreover, his experience in banking sector has also strengthened the thread of this research. The author, through his lucid deliberation and articulation, has endeavored to spell out that public welfare is translated through different mechanisms in each and every phase of the activities of Islamic Banks. Only a meticulous appreciation can reveal the far reaching impact of such activities upon the society and state.
