摘要
Lung cancer (LC) accounts for 15.9% of all new cancer cases and 26.4% of all cancer deaths in 2020 in Hong Kong (HK). LC screening (LCS) with low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) in high-risk groups defined by age and smoking behaviours to reduce mortality have been recommended by medical organisations. Cost-effectiveness (CE) of LDCT screening in this population has previously been investigated. However, similarly to other regions in East Asia, nearly half of HK LC patients are non-smokers, indicating differing LC epidemiology in East Asia.
