Electricity Allocation Portfolio Decisions of Wind Power Generators in the Mid to Long-Term and Spot Power Markets

For wind-based renewable energy generators in the mid to long-term and spot power markets, the main problem is how to develop an optimal portfolio trading strategy under uncertainty. First, the coupling of the two types of markets is considered from the perspective of structural design and operation mechanism, and the dependence between them is clarified. Based on wind power output uncertainty and electricity price fluctuation, the quantitative constraints of mid to long-term physical contract decomposition into spot period are illustrated. Then this paper constructs MPT effective frontier and utility objective model to determine the execution electrical energy of mid to long-term contracts at time periods in the spot market. In order to obtain the key variables in the model, an extended K-means clustering algorithm is used to realize wind power output uncertainty scene reduction and generation prediction. Finally, we use examples to verify the effectiveness of the model and discuss the influence of wind power output uncertainty and risk preference coefficient change on decision-making results.
