摘要
•Female’ incubation behavior may regulate embryo exposure to maternal hormones.•Incubation temperature can affect testosterone metabolization into 5α-dihydrotestosterone or estradiol.•Incubation temperature at 36° C increased concentration of 5α-dihydrotestosterone, but did not affect estradiol titers.•Incubation temperature may constitute an additional pathway for hormone-mediated maternal effects.
