摘要
Ischemia-reperfusion injury occurring after endovascular treatment of chronic mesenteric ischemia and its effects on abdominal organs, especially the intestines, have been previously described in the literature. Here, we present a rare case of predominantly pancreatic ischemia-reperfusion injury following 2-vessel mesenteric artery revascularization in a patient with symptomatic chronic mesenteric ischemia.Clinical Impact With endovascular therapy becoming the first-line treatment for symptomatic chronic mesenteric ischemia, acute pancreatitis within the context of abdominal ischemia-reperfusion injury may be seen more often in cross-sectional imaging following this kind of interventions and should therefore be kept in mind by the reading physician.
