•Hearing loss and tinnitus are cochlear symptoms of Meniere’s disease (MD).•MD cochlear symptoms are progressive and irreversible.•Sample entropy (SampEn) of TEOAE is quantitative.•The preferred parameters for estimation of TEOAE SampEn follow the recommendation.•TEOAE SampEn are promising assessment of MD cochlear symptoms.
