43656 Persons with Disabilities and Lifetime Prevalence of Skin Cancer in the United States

Background: Skin cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in the world.1 Our study aimed to examine whether skin cancer prevalence differed between individuals with disabilities from individuals without disabilities. We utilized data from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s 2019 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) interview survey. We examined patients with the following disabilities: hearing, visual, cognitive, ambulatory, self-care, and independent living. The study comprised of 418268 unweighted respondents and 252430291 weighted respondents.
